Hello!
Welcome to my home for all things sports photography.
I started photographing baseball when I was 18-years-old. I was an intern at Lincoln Land Community College and I was sent out with a camera one day to capture images of Springtime. It was fate that led me to the LLCC baseball field where a Spring training game was being played that day. I nervously shot some of the game through the fence and was hooked instantly.
I remembering emailing one of the coaches that day to ask if I could actually be in the dugout for some games instead of shooting through the fence and he graciously agreed to let me in. I even convinced him that, with my years of experience in sports, I did not need to wear a helmet to shoot baseball. About a year later, I would be drilled in the back by a foul ball, but I played it off very well despite the bruise and ache I would carry for the next two weeks.
Obviously, I was undeterred.
Over the last 8 years, I've shot several different college teams and have diversified to include other sports like softball, basketball, and tennis! Sports are an extension of who I am and I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of the culture. I will be forever grateful for the fans, coaches, and players who have been just as enthusiastic about my work as I am. Here's to many more.
